Droppi Veripalvelu was established in 2012 by ten shareholder including me as an owner of Mikkoskopia. Droppi Veripalvelu is specialized for automatic analysis of finger-tip dry blood samples, like blood purity, and the main product of the company is Dropper.fi dry blood service. The service is being used by dry blood scanners around Finland by sending scanned dry blood pictures as jpg-files to the server. At the moment about thirty dry blood scanners have started their own business using Dropper.fi.
The dry blood samples collected from customers are automatically processed to determine blood purity and a report is created to illustrate in which part of population the customer’s blood purity is. Blood purity is a good indicator of health state because when blood purity is high (>90%) then usually the person is healthy and capable of maximal physical activities. When blood purity decreases below 70% then the person has likely some diseases. And if the blood purity decreases below 50% then the person will be hospitalized and will likely die soon. In Finnish population of about 1000 people the blood purity average is around 83%. Blood purity is also a reliable measure, because two repeated dry blood samples from a same person differ in average only 3%. This is at the same level as other finger-tip blood tests like measuring hemoglobin or lactate, which is often used among athletes. The research around scanned dry blood images have been collected here in Finnish.
There seems to be many ways to purify the blood. The dirtiest blood is among those who don’t get enough sleep, smokers, over-weighted people, stressed people and those who have many diagnosed diseases. The purest blood is among vegetarians and those meat eaters, who drink purifying liquids like sea salt water, clay water or green drinks. The blood purity of athletes is close to the average of the population so the athletes are not among the purest people. Dropper.fi –server collects information about living habits and therefore dry blood test customers produce new and more accurate information about the factors affecting blood purity.
